In the fourth quarter of 2024, the apocalypse-themed gaming category on iOS in Nigeria showcased varied performance metrics across the top five apps, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Whiteout Survival saw a notable peak in weekly revenue, reaching approximately $263 by late November. Its downloads trended downward from 2.5K at the start of the quarter to around 802 by year-end. Active users fluctuated, starting at 14.3K, dipping mid-quarter, and closing with an increase to 14.9K.

Dark War:Survival began with modest revenue, which rose to $156 by the end of December. Downloads increased steadily, starting at 34 and reaching 551 by the quarter's close. Active users similarly grew from 19 to 482, indicating a consistent rise in engagement.

For Frozen City, weekly revenue remained low but showed a slight increase to $24 by the end of December. The app's downloads were minimal, peaking at 60 early in the quarter and ending at 21. Active users displayed a gradual decline, with numbers falling from 267 to 189.

Mad Survivor: Arid Warfire experienced a downturn in downloads, starting at 28 and falling to 8. Revenue followed a similar pattern, reaching $18 by the end of the year. Active users decreased from 2.6K to 2.3K, showing a slow decline throughout the quarter.

Finally, Undawn had limited revenue with a brief peak at $13 in November. Downloads spiked dramatically to 747 in late December, while active users saw a significant rise from 482 to 1.3K, indicating a late-quarter surge in popularity.
